I am trying to find out who won American Idol, I cant wait till tomorrow night LOL I do hope it was Adam. Anyone got any connections in America?

Just been on the website for AI and it looks like the cute guy from Arkansas won.
I thought he was good but preferred the guy from SD, Ca who was more gothic/rock and thought had the edge, but hey ho.

Confirmed Kris Allen won it.. Well done to him, lets hope that in a years time Adam brings something out.

I thought they were all awful (last 10 or so, didn't even watch it before then).  Out of the last two at least one of the guys was cute looking whereas the other (probably winner LOL) looks like one of the Lady Boys in fancy dress rock gear - a geek/freak .

what a sweeping statement! i thought adam very talented and with a distinctive and unusual voice, i would even say rare quality.  as far as geek/freak goes it was simply his way of dressing, he was an actor, and gay (obv) but no worse for that! i cant imagine who could have thought the other guy was better?

It's not a sweeping statement - it's my view on the quality of the contestants which made it through to the televised rounds which I watched - and as it happens I think they were woeful :)   The UK is considerably smaller and voters a mere fraction of those for the US shows yet nobody IMO that made the final 10 was worthy of a job in a club or holiday camp.  I don't doubt for a moment that the US show could be over loaded with fabulously talented singers - it's just that it wasn't :)

Re the geek / freak comment, again, it still applies because it's what I think he looks like and I don't like his voice at all.

I think the whole thing was an injustice and a big ol' let down :( Kris has a good voice,but a voice a thousand others possess.Whereas Adam was unique and had a much bigger range/talent than Kris.
The rumour going around is Adam lost on votes because of the whole 'implied' gay thing :( Pathetic! I for one couldn't care less,it is after all a singing competition.

I absolutely love the auditions of the british and u s shows.they're so,so entertaining.Then I watch the final of American idol for the quality of the show they put on.Didn't manage to see it this year,but it sounds as if the wrong man won.

I've not watched much of it, but sorry neither of them did anything for me, and in reality nor did any of the top 10.  They had OK voices but nothing outstanding.  I actually prefer the voice of this Shaun guy whose on BGT, think it's really nice and smooth and hope he goes far.
