hi all. Last time i posted on her was when i had seen litters and liters of pups of BC's and asked for help. I decided it wasnt quite right so didn't buy a pup from him and instead bought home a pup from a diff breeder about two weeks later.
Fly is a little black and white Border Collie, no probs with her, 99% housetrained already, and already doing so well with sit, stay, down commands etc and due to start classes next week. :-)
But when i bought her her nose was approx 50/ 50 black and pink, but now it's spreading over to about only 5% pink so is nearly all black. Is this normal? I've never had this before, all my dogs have all had all black noses. Will it stay like this, go all black or go back to what it was?? Must say i'm a little sad, i thought her multicoloured nose was adorable!! Although she still is lovely with or without her colourful nose!

Because the pigment is spreading so quickly the nose will probably be completely black very soon. This is a good thing because it means you won't have to put sunblock on her nose in summer to prevent it getting sunburned, whish you would have to do if the pink remained!Pigment will keep developing for several months, and her nose will never go back to how it was before. How old was she when you got her?

hi  thanks for your quick response. Glad it's normal, was starting to wonder.  She was 9 weeks old when we brought her home. We went to view her at 8 weeks, but decided to have a good think about it 1st, saw her again at 8 and half weeks and then went to but things we'd need, then collected her at 9 weeks.

My TT has a black nose with alittle pink spot on it, she's ten months now and nothing has changed since we got her at 6 months.
She's black and white so it looks really cute and wouldn't want it to change.

One of my boys had a bit of pink on his nose which finally coloured in when he was about 7 years old!
