Topic Dog Boards / Health / Fabella Displacement

After a long history of lameness and stiffness in her back right leg my collie has now been diagnosed with Fabella displacement. We have been to a specialist but they have never seen this injury before and so really don't know what to do.
Has anyone had experience of this and if so what was done about it.
Many thanks.

Do you mean patella (kneecap)?

Or fibula?

Neither. The fabella is a very small bone behind the knee, apparantly only about 10% of people have one as in people it rarely changes from being cartilidge. I'd never herd of it till she got injured and it took me a long time to find any information about it on the internet!
