I remember someone else's daughter catching up with her mum on here.. lol
- By ice_queen Date 17.05.09 20:38 UTC
Is this a sign to come? :-D  Catching up with dog relatives....

Must say if someone needed to get hold of me CD or a toller related forum would be a great place to start!  LOL  Very Good idea.
- By LindyLou [gb] Date 18.05.09 06:28 UTC
Daft thing is, Jenni was down here a couple of weeks ago *blush* ;-) I phoned her last night to find out what was going on. It wasn't important, she just couldn't get hold of me and knew I would come on here eventually. Though I don't know why she didn't use the PM board :-D Need to retrain her, I think :-D
- By jenjen [gb] Date 18.05.09 14:09 UTC
I didn't use the PM board cos I don't quite remember how this site works it's been so long since I last used it lol.
- By LindyLou [gb] Date 18.05.09 16:20 UTC

Oh Jenni and Linda,

I have to say you've given me such a laugh!! :-D
It reminded me of when I first used to come on this forum I had the old 'dial-up' connection then (Isn't it amazing that was only what 4/5?? years ago!! How things have changed!!)
But my OH used to have to contact me via CD!! :-D He was livid he had to join a 'doggy' forum to get in touch :-D
(No surprises he's an 'Ex' now ;))

Wow.... I can hardly remember what it was like to not have Broadband!
- By LindyLou [gb] Date 18.05.09 20:14 UTC
What's Broadband ;-) I'm still on dial up...... :-( my computer won't take the ordinary modem, it needs a laptop one, apparently  I'll let my son sort it when he visits. If he visits. If I let him :-) If my daughter has to get in touch via this site I wonder how he'll get in touch? Do they not know I have a house phone, and 2 mobiles??????? :-D

ETA: As well as the usual email addresses............

Aileen, the 'puppy' has one of her own - now 2 years old  ;-)
- By jenjen [gb] Date 19.05.09 11:00 UTC
Is it possible to still be a puppy at 27?? Hehehe
- By Whistler [gb] Date 19.05.09 11:07 UTC
My dear old Mum would grab my arm when crossing a road and I was in my 40's dont knock it!!! soon enough you will be to old to be a "puppy".
- By Merlot [gb] Date 19.05.09 11:15 UTC
Now what were the words to that song???? .. Oh yes   "I want to be 18 till I die"  just how I feel...even if I am a fossil of 53 ....He He He.
- By Granitecitygirl [eu] Date 19.05.09 11:40 UTC
My mum still tells people she's 21, far too young to have any children. Where's that rolleyes smiley when you need it? lol

Definitely never too old to be a puppy - and considering I still spill things and dribble at 24 I am thinking I have a few more years left of pupphood :-)
- By Whistler [gb] Date 19.05.09 11:43 UTC
Now girls what do you want to be when you grow up then?
- By Granitecitygirl [eu] Date 19.05.09 11:47 UTC
A Princess of course :-)
- By Merlot [gb] Date 19.05.09 12:01 UTC

Do I have to grow up? ;-)

Oh well, seeing as I ama grandmother of 2, and will have an important birthday this year (can I forget it, so long as my family remember the pressies :-) ) I'd better start thinking about showing my age. Then again......... :-D
- By Whistler [gb] Date 19.05.09 13:22 UTC
Dont you dare grow up yet Im still waiting to be a vet!!
If I ever stop dreaming then I will grow up!
I cant remember when I stopped thinking about what I will do next, Ive been a banker, a zoo keeper, a librarian a Town Clerk and now Im a builder but I still really want to be a vet. Im about 6 years from retirement but Im still hopeful!
- By shadbolts [gb] Date 19.05.09 13:34 UTC
6 years eh, well if you sign up to start Uni next September you should just about have enough time to qualify before you retire.
- By Whistler [gb] Date 19.05.09 14:00 UTC

My mum does that too!!

My son has autism and doesn't understand age! His birthday is on the 16th Feb so he thinks he is 16 although he is 20. We sat down and tried to explain it to him and he does sometimes say that he is 20 if he remembers BUT my birthday is on the 22nd Feb and he insists that I am 22 so I'm not complaining! I'm 22 and my daughter will be 23 on Friday. lol
- By Whistler [gb] Date 19.05.09 14:39 UTC
My son's never know how old I am my youngest tells me im not fat Im cuddly they are my greatest supporters but i could do with a swift kick now and again when i lapse but Im so happy to be loved by them. You will never grown any older to him and maybe that is good a thing we all need to stay youthful whilst they need us. My Mum used to always say "why don't you put a coat on" I spent years freezing because I was to stubborn to put my coat on, after she had told me to. If left alone I would have got around to it,I miss her nagging now she has gone.
