My FC loves to carry something in his mouth whilst on our walks, We have taken a toy but he gets bored and I think that they are probably to bulky for him, so he will stop and carry anything that is light like a very small branch, twigs, the odd bits of paper or packaging - and merrily trots off feeling very pleased with himself. I have also noticed recently that he is now is jumping up at his lead to carry part of this in his mouth. Any suggestions???
A duster? Remember my flattie parading round with one very proudly when he was a puppy. :-D They like something nice and soft. He used to carry tennis balls around like bone china as well, so possibly a tennis ball?
My dog loves to carry one of my old gloves (with the fingers turned inside) when he's out walking. Many a time he's dropped it without me noticing but he always finds it again on the next walk :)
My dane loves to carry the paper in her mouth, also the postie gives her the post to carry to me, she also has my purse, egg boxes, anything really, she should have been a Gundog, she has such a soft mouth.
My lab won't carry or retreive anything when we're out and about, but carries a stripey rug from the bathroom all round the house. She'll bring stuff back too and go up to my bedroom and sort through any washing on the bed and bring down a pair of socks to me(unwearable cos she slobbers on them). The rug has now got a big chewed hole in the middle and looks like a poncho.x
tennis ball, partially rolled up newspaper. My youngest drives me around the bend as she always wants something in her mouth but drops it now and again on her walks!
