Hi Does anyone have any experience in treating malassezia, can I do anything other than bathing him in malaseb?

My 10wk old basset puppy seems to be itching his inner thighs, the vets given us some malaseb shampoo, which is helping but the poor thing looks and sounds fed up of the itching.
