I know that Dobermans are'nt classed as working dogs anymore, but when did this change and what class are they in now? Thanx x

Are you in the UK? Dobermanns are in the Working group of the UK Kennel Club.

Perhaps Kiera09 is talking in terms of the 'right to dock' given to some working breeds?

yes I was sorry my router is playing up and couldn't explain!
I asked my vet if I got written proof, would he be able to dock a pup,he said no as they're not in the working class anymore. Any views? thanx x

probably meant they arent an actual working dog - such as a gundog, so no reason to dock.

Dobermanns are still in the Working group, but they aren't 'working' dogs, so cannot be legally docked. Only certain gundog breeds and terrier breeds can be, with written evidence that they are likely to work to the gun or hunting vermin.
