Wormed 12 week old puppy today and decorated my husband's shirt in the process(good job Drontal is a pretty pink:-)) Anyway this afternoon the pup was invited into the next door neighbours garden to play with "Uncle Tommy" who was bemoaning the fact that since his old cocker passed away the local cats were using his garden as a litter tray. When he passed him back over he said he thought pup had stepped in something in our garden when I investigated he had cat poo breath ( the puppy not "Uncle Tommy" although Uncle Tommy had had a goodbye kiss or two:-0 ). So the question is as I wormed him before he had his feline snack do I need to do him again sooner than two weeks.

No. There should be enough wormer circulating in his bloodstream and still in his gut to deal with the slight risk of a mutually-compatible worm type being passed on.

Thanks, that's a relief he really didn't like the medicine first time!
