Topic Dog Boards / General / Where on KC website....
- By Star [gb] Date 10.05.09 15:21 UTC
I have previously logged in with mu username to KC site and been able to see a list of all the dogs registered in my name. Blowed if I can find where it is now, can anyone point me in the right direction?
Cheers

Shows me owning 38 dogs of which two are two of my own deceased, then there are the five I own now, the other 31 are pups whose owners have never transfered them to their names.

I never understand why people get a KC registered pup and don't bother with the transfers.

What is even more surprising is that from my last litter two owners who intend to show and another two who might have not yet done so.  Just sent them a reminder.

My list shows much the same although the last litter 7 months ago is the only one I have bred since 'that' programme and I have to say I was more thoroughly 'interrogated' by prospective owners. Out of that litter EVERONE has actually done their transfer...sign of the times perhaps?

I always tell pet owners not to bother ...... I don't see the point of them giving the Kennel Club another £12 if they're not going to show/breed.  I've registered their puppy and they've got a receipt to say that it's theirs. :)

Oh I know, but personally after searching out puppy and breeder I would want something with my name on it ;)

There are 4 of mine that have since passed away, shame that we can't put date of death into the system maybe.

Definitely - transferring the dogs to my name so they were 'mine' was a first step. :-)

Actually asked the kennel club that as I informed them of the dates of death and they have it noted, but doesn't show up in the system that we see.

Not that most people would do it but I think the KC keeping records of deaths would be useful to get a picture of the actual longevity (or lack of)in breeds, and enable a heads up to be given to breed clubs if a high number were dying at a particular age.

Excellent point! Like it!

Good point. :-)

This is a point that I added when there was all the hooha re. THAT PROGRAMME and I seemed to be shot down, but I really do think it would help.  Our Pom's. live on average 16 years, with good healthy lives, lost one Spanish at 12 and one at 15.  I really do think it would show that many pedigrees do live long lives.
