I went to the Hound Association Of Ireland Group Championship in Clonmel, County Tpperary today for a gawk. And I was gobsmacked, nearly all the exhibitors came from.... the UK. I was hardly pushed to find an Irish owned dog there. Why is that?

Is there not a big International show coming up.  If so then exhibitors will take the opportunity to stay over and do a couple of shows.

Well, the organisers were lucky then that there was a bigger show as well, otherwise they would have ended up with only a handful of hounds that day!

Hi we were there too. 

There was an International Champ show the next day as someone has suggested.  There is also a Euro Champ Show at the end of the month.

In reverse oddly, for our breed we and one other were the only UK entries at the show you mentioned.....
