Can anyone advise of a collar for a very hairy puppy, the collar she has on now keeps catching the hairs in it, pulling them out & making her bald in places.
In the back of my head i have a round collar prevents this, but wanted back up b4 buying one
Thanks guys

I have tt's and used the round collars when their coats were just coming through. they worked fine. I suppose you can always use them if you wish as they tend not to part the hair as a flat collar does.

I use a round soft leather collar on my long coat GSD puppy.
It helps to minimise hair loss.

I bought some fleece harnesses for my 2 poodles from snugglepets.co.uk which are very soft and they also do a fleece lined collar which might be of use to you.

You can't go wrong with a nice soft rolled leather (round) collar. We always used them on our OES and you don't get much hairier than that!

I've always used the rolled leather "slip" collars on my roughs.............

I agree. We use those for our Dogues. The biggest size wouldn't fit a dogue over about 60 kg but the young ones and bitches are fine in them. Being made of natural hemp they are also very good for itchy skins - we first tried one on our rescue boy and were so pleased we got one for everyone else.

Starryeyes

Following your recommendation I'm about to order a few of these, they're gorgeous.  A few friends and I are combining an order to save on delivery.  I just have a couple of questions:

How are they in water - I have swimmers - Do they shrink?  Do the colours run?
I'm planning to order direct from Earthdog in US, have you found them the cheapest?

Many thanks, xxx
