Hi i need some advice

I rehomed a pup that i bred to a girl so when she asked to bring the pup back a wk later i said no problem and today i have taken her back but when she left i found out that she hasn't give me back the pups kc papers!!

I have been ringing and emailing her all day and i have had no response

Is there anything i can do if i don't get them back???

I feel sick with worry as i have never sold a pup before and these were my first puppies

If she was only sold a week ago i would be surprised if they had got around to changing pup into their name. Takes me months sometimes and in fact most people dont bother. So if thats the case she should still be in your name.

I asked her that the other day when she asked could she bring her back and she said no she hadn't but do i need the actual papers back from her or am i worrying for nothing!

so she is still in my name but i haven't got the original papers because the lady has them do i have to explain this to the kennel club and request another set of papers for her??

Truthfully its something thats never happened to me but i would imagine its just a matter of contacting kc like you say and asking for copies which i would presume they would ask for a minimal charge.

Not worrying about charges as long as the pup is still in my name!!

If you go onto the KC website you can check which dogs are registered in your name. I'm not sure of the link, bugt I'm sure someone will be along later to give it to you.

Happened to me once , what i did was write a letter to the KC putting a stop to the change of owner ship and sent me a new set of papers.
Just remember though if you do rehome her you will have to write another letter to the KC to have the stop lifted.

Just checked on the kc thing she is still in my name i don't think i will rehome her now too much heartache after the last home fell through i am going to to phone the kennel club now to see what they say

They have allowed me to block her name so that she cant be registered i have now to write to them and explain thank you for your help!!!
