Just been thinking, its only happened to me at a general open show but wondered it anyone has have it happen to them at a champ show. Though my breeder was due to judge the Newf's and would of ended up being the group judge had she been able to make it, so i was able to enter, though i never got round to the group stages anyway.

You get a great champ show and you aren't able to enter due to the judge having bred you dog/s. not long before the show itself after the closing date you get a change of judge which means that had the change been before you would of been able to enter. Just wondered how frustrating this is or has been for others.

yep.......... happened to my breed at arecent  club champ show.the original judge was hospitilised so they gave her entry to  the bitch judge  who was due to judge next year.

Must be hard taking on someone else's  entry that possibly is different to the type you prefer.

The most recent occasion it happened to me I couldn't quite believe my luck :) as the person who was meant to be judging I'm pretty sure wouldn't have done a thing for my boy, but the replacement judge I knew quite liked him and had given him RBOB at an open show.

Anyway, he ended up beating the dog that won BOB over him at the open show and getting his stud book number!
