Have a bitch who does not swell during season, she bleeds but does not swell  , She is 4 years old (all test done ,hips and eyes )Tried to mate her last year but nothing , had a good tie of 20 min's but stud dog owner (experienced i must add)could not believe my bitch was in season as she was so small in the nether region's .Thinking of trying again as have a free mate from previous attempt as there were no pup's , but have a little niggle over her not swelling . has anyone ever come across this ..

My Kizi never swelled much at all, was smaller in season than most bitches when not.  Never had problems with mating or pups her first litter was 9, then two litters of four.
