I ordered a furminator off Ebay yesterday and its arrived this morning. Was soo excited. My adult boy is a tad wet after being bathed from rolling in fox poo this morning, so just waiting for his coat to completely dry..
Had a go on one of our old cats and the amount of fur it removed was amazing!! Ooh can't wait to get into my boys fur now. oh and the other cat!!!
Gonna have a lot of fun using this tool me thinks, rather that than excess fur aorund the house, especially from our cats!!

I got one of these at Crufts this year as I've got an old neutered Elkhound who continually moults. It has been brilliant!!!

The funniest thing was we got it on the Friday as we were manning my other breeds Discover Dogs stand and one of the sales men was talking to another customer as we paid and tried to demonstrate it on my boy that I was exhibiting on the Sunday!! You can imagine how quickly I moved to get him out of the way.

Yes I got one at crufts and they are awesom on cocker coats and B.collies as well and they dont moan when being combed either.
Currently I have scented candles on here in the office to hide the heave making pony pooh smell, its bathies time tonight folks when 5pm gets here!!

Well had a good go at my boys coat, got some fur out, but to be honest was a little disappointed, maybe they aren't made for the Berner coat??

Got my other cat, woohoo and boy did he have some fur removed, got carried away with him.. mwahhhaaaa.

Suejaw, don't know if you show your bernese or not but if you do be a little bit cautious with it.  We inherited a bernese who through owners illness had had its coat a bit neglected and we got into it with one of these and I would say its ruined her coat just now, yes it took out lots of dead coat but I felt it cut healthy healthy coat.  I wouldn't use it on a bernese that is going to be shown.  Just my opinion :)

Thanks fifi, i have worked out i need to seperate the coat to get down to the undercoat to get it out otherwise yes its taken out some of the top healthy coat.

Think it'll just have to be used on the cats for now and the Lab when he's older and starts his major shedding sessions..

BUT the joy of using it on the cats.. Oooohhhhhh, so much satisfaction there.

yes you should go though the under cost only and boy does it save time.
just have to be careful you dont get carryed away.
