- By Crazy Cockers [gb] Date 13.08.02 18:21 UTC
Hi Guys

Just wanted to know where you all got your grooming tables from and how much they were (if you don't mind me asking!!).

I have been doing loads of overtime at work, and decided I am going to treat myself !! :D

Also...do you think go for a "trolley grooming table" or just a "trolley" ??

Your comments would be appreciated :D :D

Thanks

Natasha,

I did a lot of home work on finding my trolley. I mean quite a lot as a few of the trolley are not so hot as the used to be I am told for some more experienced.

WIll you need it for shows if so get a trolley as you can pile stuff up on it and the dog and pull.

If it is for home only then a table would be fine.

I bought mines form Simpsons I will forward link to you I bought the medium but it is big 2 westies sit on it no problem so the small is also good. I wished I bought the small. It has nice big chuncky wheels for going over the grass and a good rubber mat top.

There you go.

Now can't remember if it shows tables but it should but honestly the small one is still quite big.

The delivery real quick IE 24-48 hours you can ask for a coloured catalogue.

They were also cheep for grooming arms although not sure if you would uses these. The budget one is good I have 2 and I have a grooming set up in my garage etc.

Well Tash if you decided to get one with wheels and want to sell the one without I know someone who would buy it and you could stick the extra money to your new one. Just a thought

Hi, I got one of the fold in the middle type from Hub - Snooze [$ Snacks have them too. They are American, and realy easy to put up and fol down. Another advantage is that they have adjustable feet on each leg, so with a quick 'twiddle' ]you get get them completely stable on uneven ground. Obviously with this type they dont come with wheels attatched, but pack beautifully on top of crate on trolley (they are quit lightweight too). It cost about £80. I then have a little 2 wheel trolley which is realy handy for open shows (or shopping at Champ. show) and one of Snooz & Snacks motorised trolleys for longer distances - worth its weight in gold for some of those realy long 'pulls' from car park to bench. Only disadvantage is it is a little heavy to lift in and out of car.

Thanks Gwen...I'll have a look at their websites too...im thinking that seeing as I have the table I might be better off just getting the trolley...but i'll see whats about..:D

Hi Flossie,

Hope you don't mind me giving my opinion :-)

I recently bought a new one ( Pamela Reidie above is me, that was my old user name till I realised you are better not using your full name on the internet groups ;-) )

I bought the Ackermann  steering one with large wheels from Snooze n Snacks as I feel when you have 3+ dogs you need the bigger one with bigger wheels.  pulling the large one at the big shows is a doddle.

I think I paid £175 for it about 6 months ago..

http://www.denbar-uk-ltd.co.uk/denbar.htm   It is in the table section, and table with large wheels after that.

PS the wheels come of very easily without too much hassle at the shows if you want them off

I bought the same one but with the small wheels just this Monday at Bath.  Getting the dogs back to the car was a doddle.

I had just a trolley, but it was big and bulky and a pain, and actually tipped my dogs over on the way into the show.  I got the 36 inch one with small wheels for £155 and even just after using it once I feel like it's paid for itself.

The other thing that swung me toward the trolley table rather than just the trolley is of course the 'training' aspect, but also that they could be used to pull dogs in the canvas crates as the table is solid.  With other trolleys there is no base so you couldn't pull them in a canvas crate.

Just my .02.  Was a bit more than I wanted to spend but I'm over the moon with it.
