from personal experience mini schnauzers are like gold dust, the reason i was given when searching last year is that the breeders involved only breed a couple of times a year to increase their show stock only (selling the leftover pups) rather than to make money!!!

try contacting the kennel club for a list of breeders with pups due or born. thats where we found ours, but it was still a two hour drive for a pup that had been cancelled at the last minute, right place right time syndrome.

as i said good luck and keep on looking you wont be disappointed with your choice of breed they are wonderful little dogs with an enourmous personality. however dont believe the old 'they housetrain themselves' line I have not found this to be the case, this is a different story however.
