Hi,
I am looking to change from my Aesculap clippers to Oster as i am having nothing but trouble with them. Could anyone explain what blades would be 12mm,9mm,7mm and 5mm. I need to buy some but have no idea what number blades they would be in the oster!

Many thanks

Mel.

You would be better with Andis then Oster's, I changed from Osters to Andis, and there so much better, lighter, quieter, and the blades are excellent.
I use a 7F, 15, 5F, 4, 15, 10, that all the blades you really need.

i have changed from osters to moser swithblade as they are much lighter than osters and take the same blades

I use Andis AGC 2, there twin speed, but very powerful, even on really matted dogs and cats.

Thanks, i have ordered the AGC super and the blades you suggested. Will be glad to be rid of those heavy, useless Aesculaps.

Hi Peaches1, where did you order your new Andis from?  I've been thinking about buying some for a while!  Wish I'd bought some at Crufts now!  And is it the Andis clippers that you can use Oster blades on?

Not sure about the blade question as i am new to this make but i ordered them from splendid pets. 124.99 with a free blade and if you buy 3 or more blades you get 10% discount. Any saving is good as far as i'm concerned!

Hi Mel,
I've just changed from my favourite" Red clippers" after much reluctance since I didn't like A5 type clippers Had A pair of osters as bak up and never used them). but Doctor's Orders meant i had to get a lighter weight clipper , so at Crufts  I got the Moser Arco, its one blade with differnt cutting lenghts and has made quite a impact on me. I wishe i done it soon.

Theres a few of the well known trade stands websites do a conversion charts.

I have one of those which i love. Use it mainly for poodles and bad matting that has to come off. I must have dropped it a dozen times and its still going strong! Been using the same one for 3 years now though ive got through a few replaceent blades!
