Been asked by friends to give advice re them getting a 9 month old fox terrier and collie cross.Intact andl ving with a older dog.
It is with a family at the moment, the family have 3 children and the puppy is biting the younger child and pooing on her bed,

There is no further issues with this pup but the family are trying to find a suitable new family.

I dont have any behaviour experience so I,m not sure what to advise,

So any help greatly recieved , plus this mix in a dog what sort of problems would arise.

Collie wouldn't that have hurding in the dog and I believe terriers can be nippy and very hyper- all puppies are nippy and if not have been taught other wise will continue- The dog sees the child as a litter mate and should be taught the child is above him/her. How old are the children? Can they maybe feed/treat pup but tell pup to sit/laydown/ which ever before giving food or treat- having children help out with the dog helps the dog to see who is above them and they learn to listen better. I would not allow the dog into the childs room if this is what the dog is doing....

T-Bone use to always pee on my daughters bed- I don't no why but we don't allow her upstairs- actually no dogs are allowed upstairs where our bedrooms are.

I am sure some one will come along with better advice :-) best of luck
