Topic Dog Boards / Feeding / Cheap bags of Orijen

I have been going through all the sites i can and can't see anywhere that sells this food for a good price. The prices vary from £52 - £57 a 13.5kg bag depending on p&p and also how much i have spent on the total bill. My local pet shop sells it at £56 a bag, just wondered if anyone else has found it cheaper.
The actual distributors sell it for around the same price as well. Was hoping for a good deal somewhere.

Oh Sue, I thought you had the answer there and was hoping for a link to a cheap source so I could try it with the pup.  At the moment the pup is going through a 15kg bag of beta every 4 weeks at £40 per bag.  Do you know what volume of orijen I would need to feed a 4stone pup?

Try Berriewoods £39.80 a bag. Orijen also do a breeder scheme.
You do feed less than some brands so worth checking. I feed my lab 300 grm a day and he's 30 kg quite fit and healthy. My BMD gets about 450 grm a day.

Hope this helps

Thanks Karen, that is really helpful.  At present he is 4 stone (25kg) and is on 630gms of beta a day so the orijen from berriewoods would be a huge saving - less than half the volume served and almost the same price.  And the even bigger bonus is that the less that goes in the less that comes out the other end!

Bear in mind the prices Sue has quoted relate to the Fish variety (On Berriewoods its £51.81)
Karen's price is for the Orijen Adult (which makes it around £5.00 cheaper than other suppliers who offer free delivery)
HTH :)

Sue, I have banded together with a group of friends so we get Breeders/bulk discounts, this makes a difference. We share it out at shows/rallies and 'Wine and Whine' evenings ;)
(Especially for me as I predominantly Raw feed, Kibble is just for treat balls and/ or evening supper)

I had a look at the berriewoods website and I don't land in the free delivery area so would have to get it parcel force or something else like that.  Out of interest I looked at the price of BETA and it was around £25 rather than £40 a bag but I suppose it would depend on the postage costs whether it would save me money or not.

Good idea to buy as a group if one of you is a breeder, makes buying in bulk  much cheaper.

Will have to look into this. I know with the AG breeder scheme you don't have to be a breeder but have to have dogs that are shown or worked. Do you have any ideas if this is the same with Orijen?

Failing that Zooplus do a discount for 'Bulk' orders (I think its something like spends that are over £75)

Think i may have to look into bulk ordering, its a concern that he may decide next week he doesn't like the food, which has happened before, so really going one bag at a time for now.

You can just stick in your postcode and it will tell you the price for delivery - before you have to confirm your order.
Currently costs me about £3/4 for postage, it's bloomin' quick though and still cheaper than anywhere else in my locality! {=)

thanks TT, much appreciated I will give it a go.

ETA £4.99 delivery to me.  Farewell PAH and hello Berriewoods!!

Same for me and I bought 3 bags of Orijen and some Nature Diet so I don't think weight matters too much to the cost of delivery.  I usually get it 2 days after I order it - very efficient - and last time they even rang me to check the delivery address as it was a different one to the one I normally get it delivered to :)
