My girl is driving us all to distraction!!!

She had her first season at 17 months old

her second 7 months later ( with my 3 other bitches)

and now 8 months later nothing (the other bitches have finished their seasons.

Has anyone had this happen before.

We think she's doing this as she knows i want to mate her at this one!! :)

Sounds about right for some bitches.  She still hasn't developed her cycle.

Friends just waited 3 months for her bitch.  She came in a week before crufts just as friend was planning to take her and give up on the season coming :)

Enter her into a major Championship Show. There is nothing more sure than that to bring a bitch into season  ;-)

One of my bitches finally went into a 10 month cycle after her first couple of seasons, so it's not unheard of. One of my girls here at the moment has never had regular seasons. She is now 4 1/2 years old. I never know whether to enter any shows or not. :-(

One of my girls has a 9 month cycle, not all bitches have 6 month cycles, she may settle into a regular cycle of 8-9 months as shes matures.
Afraid it's a bit of a waiting game.

My youngest girlie had her first season at 19months, if you could call it a season, hardly anything worth having.
Then she had the next at 27months and a real full on season that time.
Have to wait and see how long to the next.

Sorry to be the bearing of bad tidings but I had a bitch that only came into season every 12 months ........ nothing wrong with her, she had 2 wonderful litters (10 pups in each) but it was a real pain!!

Oh I would love for mine to only come in season once a year, but would prefer it was between August and December.
