I have had my girl blood tested today for ovulation and she is 8.2..vet recomends testing again in 3 days , does anyone know how high the reading would be before she is ready to mate , I forgot to ask vet and have never used blood testing before.

If the reading is in ng/ml she should be retested the following day.The PNG  level required depends on the type of semen used ie fresh,chilled or frozen and the method of insemination ie natural mating,AI .

It is planned for a natural mating and she is on day 8 today , just wondered how high the readings go before the vet says go for it !!

If the result is in ng/ml between 12 to 18 is ideal for a natural mating.If you mate between this range and then  48 hours later you should cover all bases
