Does anybody know about the bedwins gsds, weather they are english/german show/working lines any info please Diane

I'm not in GSDs but know the Bedwins GSDs were/are based on German lines - the breeder used to show his dogs at the Sieger show in Germany. I seem to remember the breeder has been banned by the Kennel Club as there was a highly publicised case about incorrect pedigrees? I'm sure other GSD folk can give you more details

Diane I've got two Bedwins in Kassie's pedigree so Sue being more in favour of German lines I would assume they are German? I too seem to remember stumbling across something on the net re false pedigrees of the Bedwins dogs? I'll see if I can find it for you if you want:)

I looked at this earlier today.
One thing sprung to mind about the DNA testing that is offered. Do the samples have to be verified by anyone ??? Otherwise a person could (if there was a reason similar to the case being discussed) send off a swab from a different dog to that they put on the paperwork

I think what got them into hot water was breaking Quarantine regulations. I think the incorect pedigreees cae to light as a side issue. That is what I remember from the publicity in thte dog papers!
