Sorry to be a boar or is that bore?
Trouble is each time something happens with him I feel inclined to let you know after all a lot of you encouraged me to get him.
Anyway, he had a vet visit on Tuesday, chest X-Ray and GA, chest seems better than first thought and subsequently we are stopping the Corvental for a week until we get the results of the biopsy that they took, the vet didn't want to remove the lumps on this occasion, she said a couple didn't 'feel nice' and she wanted to know what she was dealing with before she opened him up. They gave him a good dental job and a nail trim whilst he was in the land of nod. :)
You can tell he's an old boy though, cos it's taken until today for him to recover fully from the GA, when I took one of my babes to have her extra canine removed she came out bouncing and where's my dinner mum? Poor old wobbly bum has had the squitters and is only just back to normal food.
He's proving to have even more hidden talents, tonight we discovered that he will give a paw on request, this was OH and the blackmail was a piece of cheese. Men and their stomachs :-D
He has shown a naughty habit, my cat, the lovely fat velvet Pinky that is totally dog keen got a snap from him, he was on the sofa with me and she jumped up to her usual place i.e. my chest, he snapped at her and totally shocked her, she's used to being washed by a GR and kissed by a BC and Shelties, she did what any good woman would do and slapped him across the chops :(
Serves him right a man must know his place :-p
Pinky,
Waiting to hear about the biopsy.
Poor Shandy, he's probably not used to sharing the house with a puss. Bet he got a shock when she gave him the paw, so to speak.
Sorry to be so thick but did you ever get your photos sorted? I seem to have missed them if you did.

Hi freelancerukuk
Well he's supposed to be used to cats and to be fair to the old devil he's not too bad with her, I think it's probably just down to him finding his feet and getting used to how we work, my other girls have known Pinky all their lives as she's 10yrs too, prior to getting Shandy little Pinky thought nothing of getting into bed with a pooch or even eating from the same bowl, this cat will eat dog food with as much relish as a freshly killed shrew, yuck evil beastie :(
Pinky probably just shocked him when she jumped onto the sofa, she's become a bit wary now and is a bit reluctant to come into the house so I just go and pick her up bring her in, feed her on the safety of a kitchen unit and then plonk her in bed next to the GR, this is no go area for Shandy, GR just raises a soppy golden head slightly curls a lip in that dopey GR fashion and Shandy settles back onto his cushion, I have to say how any dog can find a GR intimidating beats me but then I don't talk 'dog' :-D
I did get a few photos on to photobucket, if you go to my profile there's a link and it will take you there, they are pictures of the very first few days that we had Shandy, I will be doing a few more soon.
I'll keep you posted about the biopsy, I'm hoping that it's OK news and the vet can just snip all the lumps away no problem, we're just exercising slowly and steadily to build up his strength oh and one bit of good news he'll now eat his kibbles OK and we've given him a chicken wing raw, that was crunched with delight, infact all of the girls had one, damned expensive too as I only buy free range chucks, I had to get 3 chucks de-wing them for the dogs then freeze the chucks, don't think they'll be having that too often, but it was a nice treat :-p
