Hi, is there anyone with some local knowledge please?

My OH is currently working on a project in Aberdeen and we thought that the kids, dogs and I might join him for a week over the Easter holidays.  I'm currently looking at dog friendly self catering accommodation and all suggestions would be gratefully received.

We are also thinking it might be sensible to line up a good boarding kennels so that we can board them for a few hours if we decide to do something less dog friendly for the day!

I haven't used any of the kennels up here, but there is one in Bucksburn, behind the Police Station that accepts day boarders.  It's just off one of the main city roads.  It's called Newton Croft Kennels and you can find it if you go onto yell.com and search for dog kennels in Aberdeen.  I'm sorry I can't give you any personal recommendations.

My friends boarded  there 2 dogs here, and were delighted with the kennels.

Kenya, thank you for the link.  The cottage is now booked and although these kennels are a bit out of the way it will be handy to have something lined up just in case.

I've only recently realised it's going to be a 10 hr journey from here - it was quicker to drive to the south of France!!
