I know we haven't had the working and pastorals yet but so far - who do you think is the best?
I don't have any special favourite as I am a pastoral gal but having managed to watch all the group judging my vote would lie with the Pharoah Hound!
What do you all think (we haven't got long to wait....)

I hope the poodle too...a huge Gadsby fan (Biased i know as he bred my American) :)

I also like the poodle , but i hope the hungarian vizsla will win as he hasnt won anything big in crufts to my knowledge and i think this would be his last crufts. :)

I would like the Vizsla or The Boxer to win :)

Yogi gets my vote!

Would like the Boxer to win but did like SP and the Vizla and the P Hound. Actually I would be quite happy with any of them this year.

visla for me and boxer runner up though I suspect it will be one of the glamour breeds.
All of them are fantastic though I loved the DDB in the working group tonight.

The Old English Sheep dog for me please.
Jean

yogi for me!

i like the poodle and the old english

Poodle and Vizsla I think.

The Poodle is a fantastic show dog - I've seen him in the show ring 'in the flesh' and he gives you goosebumps when he moves. I have a soft spot for OES so I would
like her to win - but in reality I think, Poodle BIS and Vizsla RBIS.

The Pharaoh is a beautifully made dog and very typey but I'm afraid I couldn't put a mismark up for BIS.

Ok, that's got me intrigued......

In what way is it mismarked?

Phew, me and my chardonnay nearly got left behind - thanks Isabel. Poodle and pharaoh for me, but I bow to Debs' vastly superior knowledge of the latter.

The thing is by this level they are all great dogs so it is now down to that extra ability by dog and handler to be the best on the spot and in this we can expect the very best of presentation and handler.

The white on the throat. It should be confined to the chest only - NEVER coming up the throat. It's a problem with some European and American dogs. White markings on a Pharaoh are restricted to the toes, tail tip and chest only. It's ok to have no white at all but NOT too much and never in the wrong places.

Yes, I definitely think the Poodle has the 'X factor' and the handler knows how to get the best out of the dog.

My heart would love Yogi BIS & then Boxer RBIS, but I am waiting to see how they go on the night so reserveing judgement until I see them move.

Thanks Debs I think most if not all of us have learnt something here tonight :)

Liv has just texted to say she's been told off by BC people behind her for getting up and waving at the screen during Mary Ray!

Ah, but i said my heart not my mind :)

Oh Rude Peter!

Thank goodness for the tissues - tears flowing freely. Always happens when I watch Mary Ray. Hope I can still see BIS

I would've thought watching Liv wave at the screen was far more interesting than Mary Ray anyway!
Christine, who thinks H2M is pointless!

Ooops!!!
