I love Great Danes. Mostly because the bitches are so easy to train to come back on a walk - 6 month old Bronte can already be walked off the lead and just glues herself to my side, just like Phoebe does. Takes all the stress out of a walk for me.

I love my GSD because she's loyal, obedient, and would protect me with her life. She's a registered PAT and has helped rehabilitate severely phobic children - a true ambassador for the breed.
I adore my Leo because he's so gentle, loving, and patient. He makes me laugh out loud every day, and has the amazing ability to put a smile on the face of everyone who meets him.
Both seem to posess the true characteristics of the breed.

Excellent question and thread.
I love Staffordshire Bull Terriers because they are the right size for my lifestyle, are short coated and easy to live with.
Mine have always been as gentle as lambs with the children and elderly in the family, and action packed powerhouses with those in the family who are prepared to hold the other end of their raggers....:)
Staffs are in my opinion have a zest for life that is heart warming, and a love of their family that is heart stopping in its sincerity. To be a Stafford owner you have to have a sense of humour.
Sal is a PAT dog and very much one of the family in inside and outside the house. All my Staffs have the characteristics and traits that the breed should have, and have always allowed me to be nothing but proud of what I have at the other end of the lead.

Labs, because they are easy going, kind, up for anything and big silly lumps, adaptable and just want to please :)
Vizs, They are mad, funny, extremely affectionate and super intelligent.
I love my Dachie because she is always at my side ,you might say joined at the hip,she is very cuddly, when we are out and about I can always find some body to chat to.My GSD for different reasons she is loyal ,and a companion, always in the thick of whatever we happen to be doing,Not that she has ever had to do it but feel confident that she would protect me if there was a need. She is also a clown that can always make me smile.I love them both to bits.

I love the temperament of my Bedlingtons :) so loving with everyone, full of joy and energy and enthusiasm, and of course I love their size, shape and ability to race like the wind when out but totally relax when indoors.
My Hungarian vizsla because they are beautiful to look at, fantastic temperments, faithful and loving..closely followed by my mini smooth dachsunds..they are small dogs with big personalities..love them all
Well i love my chihuahuas because they are a big dog in a small dogs body they are funny and gorgeous and most of all they can all fit in the bed when the hubby is working they are very loyal to me :) i just love every thing about them when they play i can watch them for hours better than the telly
i love the way they strutt around "saying look at me look at me" there is lots more i could say as i could talk about them all day and night but i don't want to bore you all
And the new addition a dane puppy who is the hubby's but loves me more LOL i have really fallen head over heels tbh with her i never thought i could love such a big dog
well she thinks she is a chihuahua now lol what they do she can do better she is the most adorable thing i have ever seen she has picked up really quickly on house training she can sit already give you her paw and she loves fetch and this is all with in a few wks and she is just soooooooooooo cuddly
i am hoping she doesn't have a wind problem LOL (i just read someone else's post who said there's do|)

Miniature Pinschers:
Lively little characters, full of loyalty and love. They can always make you laugh. Quick thinkers, independant, small, short coated, flashy! They are a wonderful breed, but definately not for everyone!
I love all large breeds but my passion is Dogue de Bordeaux's. They are muscly, solid and huge heads but with the most gentle of natures and so loyal.
The males come across as dumb and silly but so comical in the things they get up to. The females are loving and happy to just be around you.
Great thread x

We have boxers and pugs and i love them all but the pug is such a little character she's always acting the fool, don't like her wind tho, but fits right in here as there are 3 males in this house of the human variety and they have stinky bums too! :)

I love my labs, because their loyal, friendly, funny and big softies. They're also very adaptable to different life styles as they love their walks but dont really care how long for really. They're also easy to live with , dont need loads of grooming and they love to be around you always :) Id would nt swap them for the world

I love my Jacks as they are loving , faithfull ,full of energy but will cuddle up sleep and keep me warm on a cold winters night.I love the look on their faces when I take them to the beach and they go of hunting for bunnies in the dunes, the way they come back from a walk all covered in sand or dirt looking so pleased with themselves .
My Airedale is also loving and faithfull but what I love about her is that she allways keeps us amused with the comical things she gets up to. She will amuse herself if she gets bored and will do things just to get your attention i.e. throw toys up in the air and pounces on them like a cat . She will also sit for ages watching TV and if you talk to her she behaves just like my children do , Ignore me !!!! she is also very vocal and sometimes sings to us just for fun and has a very pleasant sounding singing voice . She is a smiler and allways uses it to her advantage , most of all when being told of but does do it when when she is happy to see you.
She is very intelligent and allways does her best to please but as for being brave well she is if she is in the car but otherwise she is just a big softie who will run a mile if she gets a fright.

I love my APBT because he is a big softie, very loyal and I can take him anywhere without any problems, he also adores my son.
And I love my Otterhound because he is a big clown and cuddly :D.
I love Labs because they'll go anywhere, meet anyone and they just have so much enthusiasm, yet they can be so gentle and loving too.
I also love Bichons because they are so resolutely cheerful, but still their own little person! (She's really my daughter's dog though)
It fascinates me how many of us get so attached to a particular breed!

I love my dals. They're so complex and all so different - they're never boring. I don't think I'd ever want to be without one.
MINIATURE POODLE: I love their temperment, their intelligance, the way they are a bit nuts & have their funny 5 mminutes. When groomed they look absolutely beautiful and walk like supermodels on a catwalk with air&grace.

I love my golden as she is an absolute dream to own. She loves everyone and everything she meets, is never pushy and is so gentle and patient. She loves to rough house with my teenage son, yet is happy to plod alongside me as if she's an oap. I have found her so easy to train, and it has taken her two years and ten months to get her first telling off (chose to go deaf when I called her away from a gross stagnant pond).
Although I don't own a GSD, I will always love them for their loyalty, devotion and unquestioning love.

I love my gbgv's because they're bouncing, big, soft, baby yeti's! :-D They listen and always agree with me and love me back :)
Oh and i love my Lurcher simply because he's a gentleman who'd lay down his life for you :)

i love my ridgie as hes so loyal and such a loving companion. he has the stamina and power to go for hours, but is equally happy curled up on the couch next to me. hes so clever when he wants to be, but likes to see the reason why he should do a command before he does it (ie a biscuit!) he is a real clown when playing and always makes me laugh, but then so graceful and elegant when running, a true athlete. hes a very clean dog, even after the filithiest walk, by the time we're home, most of it has dried up and dropped off his coat, he makes very little mess.
i think they are the most handsome dogs, very upstanding and powerful, with such a calm and dignified look about them, and i always feel safe and protected when im with him. he is my best friend.
I love my rescue greyhound because of his incredible emotional intelligence he is so sensitive to my moods and always knows when I need a cuddle. He is also a great cuddler when I'm sitting down he comes and rests his head on my shoulder and snuggles into my neck and stays like that for ages.
I love my flatcoat for her sunny nature and her loyalty. Also for her soft shiny coat which she keeps in condition by stealing as much butter as she can and taking daily baths in any available patch of muddy water:-)

Cairns.
Cheerful. Friendly. Clever. Sensitive. Robust. Great with (grand)children. Give me something to smile about, even when I am in the depths of despair.
And ... they still exhibit the instincts they were bred for in the first place.

I love Boxers - no matter how miserable a day I've had they always make me feel special when I walk through the door, I feel so lucky to have such wonderful babes x

I love my GSD because of her loyal, friendly nature, she loves to have a good run through the mud and loves swimming. She would protect me with her life and is so in tune with my mood.
What I love about my chihuahua is he is the total oppisite to my GSD! :-) he is so comical, he hates walking through mud and water is his worse enemy! He loves to cuddle up on the sofa and get under the duvet when your in bed :-) I love both of my dogs to bits and wouldnt change them for the world :-)
I love my spaniel because he is so loving and gentle and I never have to buy slippers!
His Border Collie smiles at me, listens to what I say (his head moves) comes when I call and eats whatever you put in front of him!
Best of both worlds a cocker so Im never alone and a Border Collie who I can talk to. Beats men anyday.
