I have a DDB puppy and she constantly has tear stains. Does anyone know how to stop this or the best thing to clean it with???

You need to find out why her eyes are weeping. Has the vet checked to see that she doesn't have an infection or entropion?

Some ddb puppies stain more than others, as long as she has been checked for infection and entropian/ectropian then i wouldnt worry, all mine have had some degree and have all grown through it.
If you dont like the look of it then there are products you can buy for tear stains, i used one on my first girl i had and it seemed to irritate her eyes more so i just kept them clean and dry and she has beautiful eyes now :)

Hope that helps.

I will get it checked when i take my other dog to the vet next week. Do you have DDB yourself? do you allow them to go up and down stairs? We have been carrying ours up and down as she is only a puppy at the moment, what would you advise?

Tear staining is not unusual in DDB. I find the stain removal products such as Diamond Eyes & Pretty Eyes etc tend to set up irritation so I avoid those now. I would wipe with cotton wool pads moistened with plain water then dry with a bit of tissue, or if very stained, then wash. I now wash with something called Mediscrub (cheaper at Canine Chemists or similar). Mediscrub needs diluting with water, then rinsing off with plain water and drying with tissue. Some Dogues need more attention than others. One of ours never needs washing. Two need doing once a week or so and one needs washing every day. He is very wrinkly and has particularly deep grooves but as long as I wash his face each day he's OK.

As for stairs, I definitely wouldn't let your puppy go up and down stairs by herself. It's really bad for their joints. If you can carry your pup up and down that's fine but she will soon get very heavy! We have a stair gate at the bottom of our stairs. It keeps them all off our bed too :-)

yes i have DDB and as i say some stain more than others, most seem to grow through it so she may not always have the tears stains or not as bad anyway. Just get them checked to ensure there is no problem in her eyes...i am sure she is fine :)

As i said previously i found the tear stain products caused more irritation as misty has also said too, so my advise would be to keep them clean and dry thats all.

As for stairs, definately a no no while she is still growing, her joints are under enough stress with her rapid growth, conveniently we live in a bungalow so no stairs which is very handy with my large breeds.

I picked up some Angels Delight from crufts this weekend to sort out my staining. I got lots of good feed back from breeders so I thought I would give it a go- fingers crossed.

Will try to post back in a month or so to let you know if it works...
