i own a 9 month old pup ,shes great in all ways but she seems to have a big clump of hair between her shoulder blades ,someone said to pluck the hair to thin them out ,but not sure how to do it .she has a nice level topline its just the hair makes her look a bit uneven

Help

You can use a stripping blade but would not do it without guidance from someone. My friend use's one on her beagle and it works well but have not tried myself.

I don't know much about bassets but wonder if this is just puppy coat so I would have a go at handstripping it if possible first by raising up the hair and picking off any longer ones with fingers and thumb.  I don't think I would resort to anything that cuts until a bit older just in case you ruin an adult coat.  Probably best to take advise from a basset person though.  Did you breed her yourself or is there a breeder you could ask?
