I need to get my standard schnauzer a muzzle.  i have been recommended to buy him a basket muzzle so he room to drink and pant but I wondered if there were any recommendations, there seem to be all types on the market.  He is quite large for a standard and has a big head.

I would recommend a greyhound muzzle, they are much roomier. You'd have to try one though as I am not sure whether a standard schnauzer's muzzle could be too wide to fit in a greyhound muzzle, though I don't think so. You can also get greyhound muzzles in black or many other colours, which looks nicer than the normal brown or metal ones.

I used a basket muzzle on a rescue cross breed I use to have. she hated men and would lunge at them when out. The basket muzzle was great. I did try others but this was the one the dog liked best. She only needed it for a year as she stopped going for men. I would defiantly recommend it

Does anyone have links?  I bought a brown baskerville (think thats what its called) muzzle for him in his size and the one above but it seems quite narrow and his beard gets all mussed up in it.
