I have a 4 month old puppy. He started having bad diarreha about 3 weeks ago. After taking him to the vet for a stool sample, they discovered he had roundworms. They treated him with Droncit/Praziquantel. He continued to have diarreha for the next 4 days until we started him on heartguard. Then we started to see the worms in huge amounts, and the diarreha cleared up within a day. Now he started having diarreha again, with mucusy blood and more worms. I plan on taking him back to the vet for another dose of wormer this week. Just curious how long worms take to get rid of. This is by far the worst case I've seen. He's acting fine, playing, eating, etc, but I know he must be miserable as he's going potty every hour (and let me tell you, I'm tired of all the sleepless nights!)

poor boy :( sounds like he was never wormed from 2/3weeks old !!

it could take awhile with the sound of it ..but after a few more treatments your vet could do another sample ....good luck and hope u get some sleep soon x
