Topic Dog Boards / Health / Elderly Min Pin urine marking?
- By streetmutt [gb] Date 15.02.09 11:35 UTC
My elderly min pin is 14yrs old approx (rescue).  Her eyesight is very poor if not totally blind, she has often had the odd wee indoors but now is 'marking' continually. Up against dog beds, curtains and doors. Have tested her urine and no probs there, she doesnt wet while asleep, she has been spayed. In all honesty its not a problem so only does tiny amounts but would be nice to help her if poss. She seems to be quite senile and wanders around alot while marking so not sure if this is a way of her finding her way round? THe vet has suggested to try Vivitonin to see if this helps has anyone any experience of this? Any help appreciated

I know quite a few people that have noticed a big improvement in lots of areas when there older dogs have been put on vivitonin, there's also another similar drug called aktivait, some dogs that haven't seen an improvement with vivitonin do show an improvement on aktivait.  It's definitely worth a try.  I hope it helps her :-)
