This morning my little Luna was very subdued and then suddenly peed in the kitchen a big pool of blood.  Of course she was rushed to the vet straight away and is on anti-biotics but the vet said as she is only a year and a half and not yet spayed that it would be unusual for it to be a bladder infection.  He said that maybe her tubes inside weren't in the right place and could be leaking pee up before out.

Last night she peed on the gravel before bed and there was no discolouration at all and this afternoon my husband took a sample which had no blood in it at all.  The sample I took to the vet looked to be almost pure blood, I couldn't see through it.

I am so distressed and wonder if any of you have had similar experiences or have advice.

Thanks, mel

This exact thing happened to one of my bitches, it turned out to be bladder stones which were removed with surgery. Not sure if your little one is too young for it to be this?

Hope she recovers quickly xxx

Thank you all for your kind wishes, took a sample an hour ago which was clear.  She is feeling well in herself and has no temperature.  I guess I'll have to wait until her medication has finished and just keep a close eye on her till then.  Thanks for the info regarding bladder stones, I'll have a look on the net for more info.
