There was an article published in Dog World, 'A Vet's View' a few years back know re HD in response to a claim that 40-60% of HD was due to enviromental factors. Does anybody have any idea when this article was published?  I would be eternally grateful if somebody could help out.

Why don't you write to Steve and ask him?

This might be a better article as Fred Lanting is an acknowledged expert on HD. Steve Dean is a decent vet, but Fred has been researching HD for a lot longer. The link to the article about the"The Error of the Millennium in Veterinary Medicin" doesn't work but the one in this post does

Thank you to you both.  I have contacted Steve, all I need is an issue number or at least month & year that it was published in Dog World so I can get it from them.  Also thanks for the link.  If anyone else knows of any reasonably easy to read articles on HD written by certified experts, they would also be helpful.  Not just on the hereditability, but on the mechanics of HD, aftercare etc.  There's just so much on the internet, almost too much!!  Thanks a lot.
