I recently moved to New Mexico from Ely in Cambridgeshire. We bought a beautiful golden from the Drumkilty kennel and we are looking for a suitable stud dog to mate her with for our first litter of puppies. Do you know of any breeders out here in the US we could contact as possible matches for her?

You didn't say where in NM you were living... but the AKC shows in the state are usually from mid-August until mid October. You can probably meet and talk with breeders at any of them. Pick up any dog magazine or check www.akc.org for the schedule.

Heidi, have you checked back with your dogs UK breeder? She may have contacts in the USA already and be able to give you a head start?
