I was wondering what people thought on yearly boosters. Do you think your dog should stop having it yearly after certain age?

Hi
I always have my puppies vaccinated, but do not boost as a rule. But I do live in a very remote area, exersise my dogs off the road and have barely been showing the last couple of years. If I were showing regularly, living in a built up area with lots of neighbouring dogs, or knew of an outbreak of parvo etc in the area then I would probably be too scared not to boost. You can have a blood test on your dog done to see how well the immunity from the puppy vaccination is doing, when the booster is due, but its not cheap. You can then just boost the conditions where the immunity is low, often lepto and kennel cough. Jo (flatcoats) and some others are very knowledgable on this subject.
