Hi, I mated my bitch 8 weeks ago, but the vet told me yesterday she isnt pregnant, did a scan, he reckons it is a phantom.
She has not eaten since day before yesterday, is a bit of a picky eater anyway, but was pandering to her before as thought
she had to eat, so would add other stuff to try and coax her to eat.  She guards her food from my other dog, but doesnt want it herself.
Dont know what to do. Any advice, thanks.

Take the food up as soon as she shows she doesn't want it.

Cut her meals down by at least a third (especially if she has gained weight.

sorry to hear about the phantom pregnacy,it does effect them afterwards,but she needs to eat.try some sardines mixed with her normal food it usually gets them interested in food again. ;-( ;-(
