Hi. Im thinking of feeding my dogs raw. My question is how do i make sure my dogs get atleast the same energy levels they have been getting from packaged foods? Also, what should they be fed daily? My dogs need to be fed high energy stuff it is cruitial they work on a farm as well as dog agility. Please can any sporting, working people give advice.. what do you feed and in what quantities? do you find your dog has more energy being fed barf compared to packaged, dry food?

I would recommend you join the BritBarf forum where you will be able to access a wealth of knowledge regarding raw feeding. Google the name and you will find it.

I feed raw and have recently started to do agility with my GR who has all the energy he needs :-)

Hi
My gundogs (high energy GSPs) are absolutely fine on barf.  I feed 3% of bodyweight on a daily basis as an average - up it a bit when doing a lot of work, knock it down a bit out of season. They get many different protein sources: breast of lamb, minced lamb, chicken wings and carcasses, venison, pork ribs and mince, sardines, mackerel, tripe, liver, heart, kidney, eggs, rabbit.  Raw beef marrow bones.  Pureed fruit and veg.  Garlic. FBO oils. Laughing dog mixer.

Think that's about it......

Britbarf is a good source of knowledge and info.
