Does anyone on here go to or know of any agility classes in or around Bristol as am looking to start with my Australian shepherd bitch she is 7 1/2 months now and we are doing great with the obedience as she is a fast learner but think she will really enjoy agility as well.

You could try looking HERE until anyone comes up with a specific recommendation - it's not my area (geographically or of expertise!)

HTH meantime,
Teri

Too far away from you to be of help, but Brainless is from your area, and I am sure that she will point you in the right direction.  Jean

You could try contacting Little Orchard Dog Training.  Sara is a member of ADPT.

This is where I've done all my Good Citizens training and she does agility courses too.  It might be an opportunity to see if it's something you and you dog enjoy before joining a more serious club.

Am I right in thinking that the guidelines are for your dog to be over 12 months before starting agility?  A neighbour of mine made enquiries locally (nr Yatton) and they were told by many clubs that they have age restrictions and also operate waiting lists.  If that's still the case then it might work well for your timings.  Good luck

There is a club in Bristol, but I don't have details I am afraid.  The Agility websites/lists http://www.dogpatch.org/agility/agpage2.cfm probably have listings

For our agility club a dog has to be 18 months or older to join. The waiting list is really long - we were on it for well over a year before I started with my first dog and my second dog will be on the waiting list even longer as there are 35 dogs in front of him and only 6 places came available since last summer. Once you have found a club you wish to join I would put your name down as soon as possible.

Aussiedogs,I'm not sure how close to Bristol you're thinking of but there's Diamond dog training in Kenn near Clevedon,Daybreak dogs are also in Kenn,Severnside is at Congresbury and Dervish are in Bristol-these are all competitive clubs.
