hi all, thought would give u an update. last you heard from me was that we had the am bulldog, and couldnt get in touch with the owner. he didn';t want her back - and i'm sooooo glad he didn't!
she thinks she is a chi and insists on sleeping not by my feet, but on my feet!!
she starts a class this week. we have bought a very strong flexi lead, as we took her to an enclosed netball pitch, and she point blank refused to come back on the lead!! she comes back whyen called, but prances around so you cannot put her back on the lead. and as u never no who is around - i.e other dog walkers / children to scare, she stays the lead.
am so pleased with her, she is a loving playmate to the other dog, and she is the dog we believed we were purchasing, she just needed to settle in. and i feel that the class can only make her better. in fact, i think the only prob i'm having with her are the many many presents she leaves me in the garden,
will keep you updated on her progress

Gosh, what a turn around, I was one who thought you totally bonkers to have an AB with a Whippet and thought it a terrible mistake for yor Whippet and your child, but I don't mind being proved wrongly, I'm really pleased for you and more so for the dog, I hope that things continue to go this well, you sound so happy and yes your right the training and socialising classes will do her the world of good.

Her previous owner is absolutely terrible to not have wanted to take her back, glad that she is with you now, though take things slowly, get to know her well and I have my fingers crossed for you. :-)

was something about his children not wanting her back, as were getting a rabbit and if i didnt want her to take to the dogs home.... but am so glad i decided to bear with her and get to no her when my little one was with her dad, and keep the whippet and her together for a while, then seperate.
its funny to see them in garden, they chase about (norm the whippet chasing her!!) but the whippet has speed, grace and elegance at turning etc, whereas the bulldog has no grace at all!!! she's having a checkup at my vet tomorrow so hopefully will go well.
she's more staffy than am bull!!! thanks for your support, much appreciated.
