I have also used Pet Plan - still do, the supreme plan. We had a dog with no major, but multiple on-going health problems and PP always paid for the duration of his life without query (sadly only 5 1/2 years - RIP my baby boy). His medication was about £150 per month. We paid £90 excess per year for each condition - which in comparison to the claims was minimal. He lived a happy healthy life and we would not have been able to afford the monthly costs.
However, I now have a dog who is nearly a year, she is about as healthy as it gets and we pay alot of money each month for the same cover and have made no claims.
I guess my point is that insurance can be expensive initially but when you really need it, the peace of mind that comes with having a good policy is worth it in the end??
I have a friend who puts the sme amount in savings and uses this soley for her dogs. Just another thought...
Good luck, Dawn R
