oh my god!
my vet is usually very very good however she has just qouted me £200+ to remove a skin tag (on her paw) i have no doubts that this is anything other than a skin tag as it jsut looks normal, doesnt bleed or look sore or have any signs i should be concerned about. she says she will need a general anaesthetic which i think is just unnecessary. im sure this could be done uder sedation. it has over the years grown to the size of the end of your finger for example but it would only need two stitches at the very most.

my boy had a sebacous cyst removed from his back paw which sounds similar to what you describe, he had one stitch, was put under general anaesthetic and it cost about £250.

i have just read up on that and isnt that from inflamed hair folicle under the skin? this is just like a large skin tag that apart from it being big does not bleed or look scary

To be honest I dont know, I assumed it was just some form of benign cyst.

No, skin tags and sebaceous cysts are different things. :-)
