How much evening primrose oil would you give to a 28kg bitch?
It was recommended by our vet but she said it would be cheaper to buy elsewhere.

personally I wouldn't give EPO as both that and CLO (according to my vet) have been linked to bringing on epileptic seizures in breeds with a propensity / low threshhold towards epilepsy.  I prefer to give fish body oils.

Has your vet explained why s/he recommends using EPO?

Hi Terri,
Yes, been to the vets today with red patches on inner thigh. Vet said it was yeast problem. Gave us some shampoo to use and recommended EPO.
This is not my pup, but my 3yr old bitch who has just been in season, vet said it could also be a rush of hormones.
She is fed on raw, (includes, salmon, tuna or white fish 1 day per week) has been for 2 years. No change of diet.
