Topic Dog Boards / Feeding / Started Poo-ing at night

Hi, could anyone give me some advise on how long food takes to digest and then come out the other end? My just 2yrs old bitch GSD has started poo-ing at night, she isnt whining to go out unless I am not hearing her (deep sleep?).  I thought maybe if I tweaked feeding times slightly it may help her?. Both my dogs are on the BARF diet which I understand has different digestion times to complete dry.
They are fed in the morning and around 7pm in the evening.  What upsets me is the look on my males face when I come down - he looks horrified! I know its her because of the size of the poop. Any ideas anyone?
Thanks
ps. She is a happy dog and with no behaviour issues.  Also, they are both let out around 10pm for toileting etc before we go to bed.  We normally come down at around 6.30 - 7am to let them out. They sleep downstairs and have the kitchen and utility.

GSDs can develop delicate stomachs and it could be that. Changing the time you feed may help as may making sure that the amount is not excessive. Think feeding a GSD twice a day is the best way and apart from asking the vet for a check up I can't think of any other course you could take short of taking her into you bedroom so you are aware when she needs to go out.
