Has anyone written one up, or have any advise on writing one please?

Like breeding terms they're not worth the paper they're written on if you have to go to a court to sort out any problems that develope later - they just say whoever has the dog in their possession owns the dog regardless of KC doc's etc.

They mean nothing in the eye's of the KC or the eyes of the law, and this is from experiance.
We had a bitch that we had in joint ownership, with fully signed contracts. We bred the bitch but she lived with the other owner and when she should have had puppies the other owner decided that they were not going to breed her and that they would sell her on.
As you can imagine the s**t hit the fan and we asked for her back ( they had not paid for her ) and they refused moved house twice to avoid us , we contacted the police , they could do nothing, we then learned that they had forged our signiture to have her in their name only, we spoke to the KC and they said that they would do nothing apart from note in on the PC, it has taken us 3 years to get the bitch back, finally we have her here safe and sound, but only due to never giving up.
It is a minefield, the people that we  had her with in partnership we had known for 10 years and we trusted them, just goes to show you.
Would never do it again.

I would not expect the police to take action or the KC as I would expect contracts to be covered by civil law.  I don't see why a properly drawn up contract between breeders would be any less viable than one drawn up in any other business or employment situation and if a civil action determined that it must be upheld then I would imagine the police could be involved if one party resisted.
I think you need to take proper legal advise, Sam, particularly if this involved an international arrangement.

I have owned a dog in partnership, but as the others say it could go pear shaped if you need to go to law.

I do feel though if you go into a partnership it does need to be put in writing and every eventuality covered that you can think of.

It is something to be avoided generally as it is an easy way to fall out with the best of friends.

Ours worked fine, but could easily not have, as each partners expectations can vary.

To be honest the few people I have known with dogs in co ownership have ended up having problems with it, I hope the OP partnership works out well but I do think there is a lot of ways it can all go so wrong.

There are so many forms of partnership.  My Dad in partnership with a dog with the simple fact that he (or I) show him but the other owner has full responsibility of looking after etc.  I will be going in partnership this year with someone else on the same basis.

A simple contract will also just put in writing who's responsibility is who's and this will help any small disputes and only get ugly if something major goes wrong, or someone wants to get ugly!
