I was thinking today of learning something new.
I have in the past taught myself a few things such as knitting, crochet, sewing, gardening (with limited success)...
I would like to learn something more useful this time (I know the other stuff is useful but it is limited) and something that could generate a small spare change income to save for the likes of birthdays and Christmas etc.
If you all could learn something new....whether it be practical....computing...or learn to provide a service...what would it be???
I like to learn something new every now and again...even If I don't master it I still really like knowing I could do something if I have to...:-) Like fix clothes or make simple curtains or do up a gift basket ...or bake a cake..
Thanks ....I am only asking to hopefully get ideas I may not have thought of myself....:-)

Beads etc can be bought off ebay for a song, you just have to be creative with your designs :) sell to friends or at local events/boot sales

Does your local college have a prospectus?
I have done GCSE's in the past ( Didn't do any at school). Love to be doing something that isn't housework or watching telly.
Cooking different countrys cuisine might be goood.
Karen :)
I think everyone should try something knew every year :-) I'm looking at quilt making just now. Don't know if I'll ever do it, but it's something I've always wanted to start.
Sign language - but i can only find courses at night school when i want to go in the day , also i can't afford to pay for it at the moment !!

I work in a college and do not think there is a lot of free courses available to anyone at the moment, even on benefit the exam element is payable but the tuition becomes free. PCDL funding enables a lot of courses to offer taster courses without payment, unsure if PCDL funding is available in your area, it is in the Lincs area. Hope you find what you're looking for
