I would like a really good non-bleach cleaner. At work the kennel tiles and grout are really filthy this time of year. We are not supposed to use bleach but the trigene we use doesn't seem to do a good job on grime. Our cream colored tiles (in the corridor and kitchens) get really grotty looking so quick this time of year. Also inside the kennels the terracotta tiles are nearly black. I have used bleach even though I am not supposed to because they were so bad.

If anyone knows a super cleaner....I don't mind a bit of scrubbing...I think the trigene is just a disinfectant and not a very good detergent. The dogs are not in the kennels at the time and they get a long rinse so it doesn't really need to be dog friendly but if it is it would be a bonus.

Cheers

Bicarbonate of soda mixed into  paste I find very effective with dirt and grime.  But you would probably need a hell of a lot for your tiles!  Also, solutions with cheap washing up liquid in a great at cutting through grease and grime (that sounds a bit like an advert!).

You are so right though. Washing up liquid is great.

If you want to avoid the chemicals Ecover cream cleaner is realy good.It gets caked on Boxer slobber off my paintwork and tiles no problem and shifts stubborn marks from my cream slate kitchen floor tiles.(I inherited them,I would never have chosen that colour!)

Washing soda diluted in hot/warm water as per pack would help, it shifts grease and dirt ;)  very cheap too ;) and no smell :-D  does need rinsing off tho ;)

Or you could try Bio Washing Liquid/Powder diluted in a bucket of water and a scrubbing brush.  Rinse well.  This will also get rid of any smells ;)

Both bleach free ;)
