i make mine with wholemeal flour an egg and some cooked lambs liver , mix into a dough put in a tin/plate if you use microwave or into the oven for about 15 mins  . take it out and while still soft cut in whatever size u like , it also works well with pilchards or sardines

350g liver,1 egg,1tsp baking powder,2 cloves of garlic,1 tbsp olive oil and 150g flour. Put liver, egg, garlic, oil and baking powder in a food processor, whizz untill it is a smoothe paste. Add the flour gradually until the mixture resembles a sponge cake mix,add more or less flour if needed (depends on the amount of liver) so long as it is a thick paste.  Pour out onto a baking tray lined with foil and spread out over the tray. Bake at 180c in the oven for 20 mins. Test with a skewer, if it comes out clean, it is ready. Leave in the oven whilst it is cooling down. Cut into small cubes. Can be frozen in foil in daily amounts. Self raising flour makes it more bread like and makes it go further too.

I cut fresh liver into strips about 1cm wide then bake in the over on the lowest heat over night :)

They come out all dry and crunchy when they have cooled I snap them into treat size

They last forever lol

Good idea.  What temp is lowest on your oven?

I would have to check in the book it just says low the next one is 90 hang on let me go downstairs and check lol

It says 80 is the lowest heat (electric oven)
I just place it all on a baking tray and separate the strips so they don't overlap then leave
it over night, I do the same with soup I always cook it on the lowest possible heat for days sometimes lol

Thank you, will give it a go.  Think mine is 90 but I'm sure that is fine too.

I do this for mine and they LOVE it, The first time i done it was not sure of the amount of eggs to use , used 3 and oh my god i smelt of a nice sponge cake to the is most dreadful smell

Alot cheaper way of doing it , esp when you have 4 dogs

I also put mine in the treat balls and also the kongs keeps the dogs busy
