Hey, but of advice needed. it was my beloved grans funeral this morning, and at end of reception all 10 grandchildren were presented with a beautiful long stemmed white rose, my grans favourite. i currently have it sitting in a vase of water, but would ideally like to press it and frame it in a photo frame. any ideas the best way to do this? do i need to buy a proper flower press or is there another way to do it? thanks in advance.

Sorry to hear that, must have been a hard day for you and your family.  I have dried a rose before, I simply put it onto the radiator (while it was still fresh) and it fried really good. for pressing I would have though inbetween sheets of paper in a book then heavy weight on top and leave for a llllong time?

Sorry you have had a rough day
You can press flowers between tissue paper in a book  and then put a heavy weight on it.......
Failing this you can buy a flower press quite cheaply from most art/craft shops all instuctions included theres on here for exapmle  which retails at 13.87 but you can get them cheaper if you shop around
