WOOO HOOOO!!
OH just looked out of the window and we have.................................................. SNOW!!!!!
It's a very light layer of the icing sugar type - looks lovely :-D
I got far more excited than my 11 year old LOL
Hope we get more :-D It's pup's first snow :-D

It's been trying to snow here all day (Gloucestershire), the fine powder-like snow, it's gradully getting whiter here & I'm getting exited about it :)
I hope we get more too :)

Similar here - the garden thermometer says the temperature has climbed to a sultry -2 degrees C during the day, and there is a faint hint of very fine white powder in the air.

You lucky things, i love snow, just wish it would snow here. It rarely does and if it does its nothing great and melts very quickly.
The south coast often sucks for any decent snow.

Well it has looked like snow all day - but we have the nasty drizzle - surprising what a few miles difference makes - you are higher up there I think.

Too right.
I've just driven up to Newbury and saw some lovely white stuff including crispy white grass ..but going 'down hill' back to the coast......nothing :-(

I think Tooolz we are going to have to do with frosted grass for the time being. The weather forecast does show snow for the south east corner for tomorrow - i am so hoping.

Will be muddy again in the morning. Have loved these frozen days - the dog comes back in (almost) clean.
hate winter hate the cold roll on spring

AWWWW :(
I love it when it's so cold you can hear crackling in the trees

These cold frosty days are perfect for me and the dogs - they love it too ;)
I love cold dry snow, best time ever was 1981 when it was so deep we couldn't find the car :-D it was almost as high as me and at one point we had to roll across the top of it - I was in my element :-D
I do have a saying tho
"There is no such thing as bad weather - only inappropriate clothing! " :-D :-D
Humph. We've just had a light drizzle of RAIN on top of frost all day :-( Wish it would snow, it might warm up a bit. ;-)
> There is no such thing as bad weather - only inappropriate clothing
Couldn't agree more, we have that nice dry snow at the mo and quite deep, have had about a week. It is great for taking the dogs out as most people tend to stay away :) and it is always sort of quiet adds to the atmosphere :)

The fine dusting of snow that had built up during the day has now all melted :( :( It's milder now than it was midday - the ice that had formed on the pond (despite there being a waterfall) has nearly vanished - everything is just wet & muddy again :(

And even better - those lovely frozen parcels are so easy to pick up in the garden!

Woohoo - went to go and get a takeaway earlier and had a very very small amount of white powder on the roof of my car!!! Well that lasted for all of about 10 seconds after i started the car.
Seen the weather forecast and it seems again according to the BBC that the snow is yet again going to miss Surrey, Sussex and most of Kent.. I just wish for once it would darn well snow - good and proper.
I recall the last good snow i must of been about 7-8yrs old. It was very deep and we were snowed in. Were able to build a big snowman and also go toboganing(sp) in our fields. Never been that good since.
> I recall the last good snow i must of been about 7-8yrs old. It was very deep and we were snowed in. Were able to build a big snowman and also go toboganing(sp) in our fields
I must have been about 6 when I last remember 'proper' snow (I'm 31 now). It was so deep we had to dig out our pathway down the garden. I remember my cat had jumped out of the window as usual, but made the mistake of stepping off the windowsill onto the snow - bless him - he vanished for a second, LOL!!!
Most years up until I was about 9-10 we had a half decent covering of snow, we didn't have a tobogon, we had an inflatable 2-man dingy (sp?), loads of us kids would cram into it and hurtle down the 'big hill' over the fields - that was 'proper' winter :)
My eldest son (10) saw a few inches of snow as a toddler - toddlers in the snow - so cute, he kept trying to eat it (LOL, a bit like dogs in the snow - they love it don't they!), but since then it's only been, at most, a light splattering :(
> according to the BBC that the snow is yet again going to miss Surrey, Sussex and most of Kent
Rats :( Sooooooooooooooooooooooo unfair!

We got snow in Kent!*
:-D

We've got it too in Northampton.

I love snow but only if I don't have to go to work. I don't have a 4x4 and have to drive for six miles before I reach a road that is gritted. I'm wishing I'd replaced my tyres before Christmas (still legal but only just).

Snow in Sussex too - dogs loved it this morning - was beautiful :)

Snow in Hertfordshire too! Dogs really enjoyed their walks and the two puppies enjoyed chasing each other round the garden and eating the snow.

We have SNOW!!!! Yey, only a couple of cm's, but all the same its great fun and the dogs love it, even the pup ventured out today and ran about in it.
Its just starting to melt now the sun is out, though predicted snow flurries on and off all day - ready and waiting for the next one to hit!!
Just a dusting in North Lincolnshire
woke up to loads of snow here in birmingham, snow is ok if you dont have to go out, but when you are working and using public transport and on the night shift its just so not funny, i want to wear flip flops,

Was snow here this morning, but its more or less probably melted now, not been out though since this morning so dont know, just glad the roads werent bad as i would of been really late to work otherwise!
Hampshire snowing here a bit like icing sugar but its the real thing...
Its snowing in Twyford Near Winchester.

My first (very) early morning walk before work since before Christmas and I walked out on pristine virgin white snow! Woohoo - dogs didn't notice any difference -lol. Reports from OH are that it has all since disappeared, sometimes it's good to be up before the crack of down :D

We had snow here in South Manchester and it's still here at the moment. Sky looking a bit black at mo. so hoping for more. Thought that my pup would be excited about her first morning of snow but she didn't even notice she's that mental.
I followed the path around the fields where I walk at 6:30am dark but i could see the snow on the muddy bits so I did not miss the path, took ages though I was scared I would fall over!! lost my torch on holiday and no time to replace it yet.
> Thought that my pup would be excited about her first morning of snow but she didn't even notice she's that mental.
LOL!! ;)

No snow here just cooooollldd!
But then if I can't afford the ferry fare across the Solent I can hardly expect the snow to be able to either :-(
